Burlas qualificadas e Branqueamento. Acusação. Ministério Público do DIAP de Faro (Secção de Portimão)

18 dez 2018

Aggravated swindling and Money laundering. Indictment. Public Prosecution Service - Department for Criminal Investigation and Prosecution of Faro (Portimão Section)

The Public Prosecutor holding office at the Portimão specialized section - Department for Criminal Investigation and Prosecution of Faro – has submitted an indictment for trial by a three-judge panel against a male individual aged 40, with dual nationality (French and Portuguese) due to the commission of three criminal offences of aggravated swindling and one criminal offence of money laundering.

According to the indictment, the defendant used a cunning scheme to deceive French citizens and to obtain from them significant amounts of money. Acting as above described, the defendant succeeded in deceiving three French citizens and caused them to hand five hundred thousand euros approximately over to him. Part of the money was then used by the defendant to purchase Porsche and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, which however were registered in someone else’s name.
